After turning 60 in July - I am still in disbelief when I say those words out loud - I really didn't think too much about it. Ken and also celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary that weekend as well.
Then winter hit in February and I started to feel my age. After spending hours shovelling snow nearly every day in February, my shoulder, back, and often every joint screamed in agony.
I did survive the snowiest winter in over 100 years in the Tri-Cities. We had at least 2 feet of snow. Today I finally felt like we might actually make it to spring alive!!
I hope all is well with everyone and that you weathered the winter as well. Blessings to all and have an amazing Lent.
My wonderful husband of 15 years was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency in 2006. The news was devastating but some how we managed to get beyond the initial shock! We hope this blog will be useful and informative for others who may not know they have Alpha-1 or have been recently diagnosed. While also showing that life can go on in a relatively normal fashion. Research is making progress and there is hope. We are truly blessed with 5 children, 18 grandchildren, and one loving family.
